Survivors of abuse and trauma are given so many negative messages - from the legal system that when survivors report their abuse are told it’s not ‘worth’ prosecuting to the guilting, shaming, and blaming messages survivors are bombarded with. Then people wonder why the survivor is struggling and blame them for not ‘healing’ properly.
We need to change all of those conversations and instead tell the survivor the truth - that they are worth believing, protecting, and defending, that they survived the unimaginable and they are worth standing with for whatever comes after, that it is not just worth it to have them in our lives, but that our lives are so much indescribably better because they are in it. So we created this inspiring sweatshirt to tell survivors the truth - that they are worth everything!
